Black leather tyrolean shoes
OUR COMMITMENTS
"We work every day to improve our eco-responsible approach and offer products that meet the challenges of our time."
OUR VALUES
Since 1988, we have been committed to designing healthy and sustainable shoes. In recent years, we have gone even further by primarily using leathers from tanneries audited by the Leather Working Group. We have selected, tested, and validated the most advanced materials in terms of safety and environmental responsibility, while guaranteeing predominantly European components and rigorous manufacturing in our factory. Our impact is
significantly reduced thanks to environmentally friendly tanning processes that use less water and energy.
KLEMAN shoes are made in France, at the Cléon factory located in La Romagne (49). Our workshop has been designing and producing the brand's models for over thirty years.
This French-made product is first and foremost a family story. A story of continuity, transmission, and... Expertise. Today, nearly 45 people work in the factory. They inspect the leathers, cut, stitch, assemble, mount the shoes on lasts, weld the soles, and then carry out the finishing touches until the shoes are boxed.
Each step is carried out on-site. This proximity allows us to monitor the product in its entirety, to adjust, correct, and take the necessary time. Manufacturing follows a controlled rhythm, guided by experience and meticulous craftsmanship.
Since 1988, KLEMAN has been designing
Shoes designed to last.
The choice of materials is the key point
starting point.
The components used are primarily European, selected for their quality, traceability, and durability. In recent years, particular attention has been paid to leathers sourced from tanneries audited by the Leather Working Group (LWG). These audits regulate tanning practices, especially regarding the management of water, energy, and the substances used.
The leathers come from bovine hides sourced from the food industry, repurposed within a circular economy framework. They are chosen for their suppleness, resistance, and ability to adapt to changing conditions with use.
In this same logic of consistency, some components are sourced from proximity of the workshop. The materials are tested, validated, proven. They must be reliable, without compromise on usage.
The environmental approach of
KLEMAN was built step by step
stage.
In 2018, the brand began a
turning point with the launch of the
OAK range, a collection designed to
made from chrome-free leathers, sourced
of hides from cattle raised in
Portugal and Spain. This
range marks a first step forward
towards more
respectful.
In 2020, this approach continues with the arrival of the VGT range, consisting of shoes vegetable-tanned leather. This The technique relies on the use of natural essences and pigments to transform the hide into leather, while limiting the impact on the health and the environment.
These choices help to reduce the overall impact of manufacturing, particularly through processes of tanning processes that use less water and in energy. They are part of an improvement logic continuous, without abrupt break but with consistency.
KLEMAN's commitments are based on a simple conviction: designing healthy and sustainable shoes involves... concrete choices, made at each stage.
- Expertly manufactured in our workshop.
- Selected, tested and proven materials.
- A progressive environmental approach, rooted in reality.
It is this consistency, built up over time, that still guides the way shoes are made today. KLEMAN.
